Pokemon Ascended Heroes: Where to Find the Best Sealed Deals Right Now

Ascended Heroes launched the Mega Evolution era with a bang. Here is the sealed product breakdown and where prices stand one month in.

|Ascended Heroes

The Mega Evolution Era Begins

Pokemon TCG's Ascended Heroes set marks the beginning of the Mega Evolution era, bringing back one of the most popular mechanics from the franchise's history. The set has been met with tremendous enthusiasm from both collectors and competitive players.

Product Lineup

Ascended Heroes includes the standard Pokemon TCG product range:

  • Booster Boxes (36 packs)

  • Elite Trainer Boxes

  • Booster Bundles

The ETBs have been particularly popular this time around thanks to their striking Mega Evolution artwork on the packaging.

Current Sealed Market Trends

One month post-launch, Ascended Heroes sealed prices have found their settling point. Here's how each product is performing.

Booster Boxes

Booster Boxes are currently trading near their post-release floor. Demand has been consistent rather than spiking — the Mega Evolution mechanic is driving sustained interest rather than a short-lived frenzy. This is a healthy pricing pattern that suggests stable long-term value.

Elite Trainer Boxes

ETBs are carrying a premium relative to typical Pokemon ETB pricing. The Mega Evolution pull rates and the quality of the box art are both contributing factors. ETBs from era-defining Pokemon sets tend to hold value well on the secondary market — the original Scarlet & Violet base set ETBs are a recent example.

Booster Bundles

Booster Bundles offer the best per-pack value for casual collectors. Pricing on these has remained close to MSRP, making them the most accessible entry point for the set.

Top Chase Cards & What's Selling

Ascended Heroes has cemented itself as one of the most expensive modern Pokemon TCG sets, with brutally low pull rates and iconic Mega Evolutions driving demand. The secondary market for singles is red-hot:

  1. Mega Gengar ex Special Illustration Rare — The crown jewel of the set. PSA 10 copies are pushing close to $5,000, driven by chaotic artwork, competitive relevance, and scarcity.

  2. Mega Charizard Y ex Mega Hyper Rare — The all-gold treatment pushed this card to over $600 in the set's early days. Charizard continues to command a premium in any form.

  3. Mega Dragonite ex Mega Hyper Rare — Currently around $549. As the face of Ascended Heroes, Mega Dragonite appears across four different rarities.

  4. Mega Dragonite ex Special Illustration Rare — The second-most expensive Dragonite variant, with strong demand from both collectors and competitive players.

  5. Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex Special Illustration Rare — Already rivaling the value of the original version from Destined Rivals.

  6. Lillie's Clefairy ex Special Illustration Rare — The vibrant, distinct colors on this SIR have made it an instant fan favorite.

  7. Mega Feraligatr Special Illustration Rare — Water-type representation in the Mega lineup, starting at over $200.

These chase cards are the primary driver of sealed product demand. As long as they hold value, box prices should remain firm.

Market Outlook

Ascended Heroes occupies a strong position as the debut set of the Mega Evolution era. Pokemon sets that introduce new mechanics or eras have historically shown strong appreciation over time — the transition to Scarlet & Violet and the introduction of Illustration Rares are recent examples.

With Perfect Order (the next set in the Mega Evolution era) not arriving until late March, Ascended Heroes has additional runway as the current set in the spotlight.
